baldylox Posted December 31, 2010 I'm sure that by now everyone knows what "The Pose" is. Danny Choo has been talking about it for a while now and it's been on Figurefm a bit too. Well, after finally getting around to it, I took a few pics of my girls doing their versions of it. I also got them in some of their new clothes they got for Xmas. Also please note the picture on the computer monitor of Danny Choo and Saber. That is there so the girls knew exactly how to do the pose. First up is Manami. She has Mamimi from FLCL as her "Dollfie". Now we have Yoko with Yoko! And now Rei with Rei. All three girls with their "Dollfies". ^_^ And now for some closeups. First is Yoko with her Revoltech Yoko figure. Yoko got all sorts of excited when she finally noticed a figure of herself on the shelf. After Yoko found her figure, Rei then found hers on another shelf. She has the Rei Revoltech figure. And Manami being Manami, she had to go one better and get the biggest "Dollfie" she could find. ^_^ She found the Takara 1/6 Samejima Mamimi Doll that DeadlyGambit sent me for my B-day this year. After doing "The Pose" the girls went to playing with their dolls. Yoko was having fun with hers by throwing her up in the air a little bit to make her giggle. The dress Yoko is wearing came from Alices Collections and is awesome. The white shirt is a tad tight across the chest but otherwise it fits her perfectly. I really love how she looks in this. Rei has decided to take a break and sit down with her figure. Her dress is also from Alice Collections and has a hat that matches the checkered dress. Too bad it is too small to fit Rei's head... But the rest of it fits her well and looks very cute. Rei really likes her Revoltech. She is hugging her pretty tightly... Manami has decided to brush Mamimi's hair. Her outfit is from Jessica at Nightfall. It came with that nice waist belt thing too, very cute! More hair brushing... And now for the fun part... Me doing "The Pose" with each of my girls! Me and Rei and Rei-chan: Me, Yoko and Yoko-chan: And finally, my Ichiban Hime Manami, Mamimi and me! Lord, I look horrible! I think I need more sleep. Well, hope yall had fun looking at the pics! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
mitsuki Posted December 31, 2010 That is so cute!!! They all look so adorable with their own little dolls/figures! Yoko looks really happy. Rei is so sweet hugging her Rei. Manami is too precious brushing Mamimi's hair. The last photos are like fractals! They are so cool! I wonder if a couple little bobby pins can be sewed to the hat to make it stay on Rei. Volks has released several outfits with little Lolita mini hats that attach via small pins.
MsGeek Posted January 1, 2011 Yumiko-tan has that very same Rei. It works out to being a 1/4-scale doll for her. Meet 2, Saturday: Rei meets Rei fangirl by msgeek93, on Flickr I found the Rei and Kaworu cosplayers and hat to take a picture of Yumiko with them. Yumiko was being her Rei fangirl self. She still wants to cosplay Rei and if you look carefully at the picture she has her "red contacts" (red H-type eyes, same type as her normal "Apricot" eyes and her Alice cosplay blue eyes.) in. And yeah, that was a bad choice of blue wig for her. I still want to get her a blue wig, and get together Rei's "transfer student" outfit for her because it's just the easiest to get together. The official Volks school outfit is just...so...pricy...if you can find it... Here's what I mean: The girl on the right...this is the only picture I was able to find. I like how the outfit kind of has an "Annie Hall" feel to it...very cute if you can pull it off. Note that Yumiko has Rei cuddled in her arm, in that way little girls do it. I find I carry my dolls either that way or with my hand under her booty supporting her in a seated position. Sometimes they ride my shoulder, parrot-style...it seems like Mitzi likes to be carried that way for some reason. I guess I gotta get them used to the "falcon perch" way of carrying them because that's what the "cool kids" do with their dolls...
