sleepywolf Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) Probably old news to the oldtimers but I've noticed a lot of new DollfieDream owners tend to refer to DollfieDreams as Dollfies. Remeber reading last year about a new member who accidetally bought a Dollfie head for a DollfieDream body and found out they didn't fit together. So I thought I should mention this incase anyone is confused or unaware of the difference: The term "Dollfie" refers to Volks' 1/6 scale (22/27 cm) series of dolls. The term "DolffieDream" (includes DD, DDdy, DDS and MDD versions) refers to Volks' 1/3 scale series of dolls. So, roughly speaking, DollfieDreams are almost twice as big as Dollfies. mitsuki Posted February 16, 2014 This is very true. Volks doesn't really have anything to make the scale clear in the photos. They have 1/3 pre-rooted hair heads even that are like the 1/6.
sleepywolf Posted December 12, 2014 Bumping this old post of mine since we've had a lot of new members join us over the year. [rimg]http://www.dollfiedreams.com/gallery/image.php?album_id=201&image_id=846[/rimg]
Cauldroness Posted December 12, 2014 Not that it makes a huge difference, but it should be DDdy, not DDDy (the third d is not capitalized). Just thought if this is a reference point for newbies, might be helpful to have it exactly as Volks writes it. Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram!
