Present idea for friends? ^^

I am not sure but maybe its a chance.

I search a special present for a friend, a present about/arround friendship.

Maybe in your country you have other ideas than "we" have

 

Happy to hear your ideas

Do you have similar hobbies?

 

Do you want your gift to be a "thing" (jewel, toy) or an "event" (meal, vacation, trip)?

I always get matching presents for my best friend. Matching clothes, jewelry, etc. I also like doing handmade stuff like baked goods or a drawing.

• A photo album with some photos of you together

• A scrapbook with photos or even a blank one to put future photos

• Drawings of something you have in common (like if you both like dogs, maybe a cute dog)

• I like Nekopon's idea of something matching like jewelry

• Maybe a stuffed animal that is an animal you both like

• A mix CD or mp3 files on flash drive (haha I'm older so sharing CDs was good to get friends into the same music and then go to concerts together)

• Pair of concert tickets so you can both go

• If you both like movies, movie tickets would be fun

• A gift card to go to a restaurant you both like

• Try a new kind of cuisine together

• If you don't live in the same place, foods and treats unique to your part of the country is nice and reminds the friend of you

• A personalized item like a hand painted item (mug, plate, keychain - we have a shop like that here)

• Handmade jewelry (one friend sent me a really cute necklace with a clay charm of his cat)

• Joke or funny custom wrappers on chocolate bars (one friend recently made really cute Kanu themed chocolate bars)

• If you both like an actor or musician, maybe an autographed item would be fun (I have several friends who would like that)

• Like pharaviel said, an event could fun (haha I guess concerts and movies are events too; I was thinking about something like an afternoon at a garden or ice sculpture display and then tea time or going to an art museum)

• Some people like donations to a charity in their name (like if you donate to animal charities and get a T-shirt or calendar)

• If I had any musical ability, creating a song (even a silly one) would be fun

• I can't sew either but a hand sewn or knitted item would be nice

• Like Nekopon said, cooking or baking would be nice (you can cook together or you can present a prepared item or meal)

• I don't get my hair cut often and haven't tried other services but I know girls who go for hair styling and manicures together then go out to dinner or to a nice place for drinks

• "Rent/hire" a guitar playing friend to play some music for your friend

• Start matching charm bracelets (you can add a charm each year or event)

• If you like picnics, you can go on one together (weather is bad now though >_<)

• Take a cooking class or other fun class together (we have dream interpretation, fashion advice, basket weaving, etc classes here)

I like focusing on memories, too! So I tend to get something related to an inside joke-- for instance, a really memorable bout of Cranium once led to the joke, "Turtle?" Like most inside jokes, it does't make any sense to people who weren't there-- however, it's enough to make my friends and I cry with laughter. So I would get that friend something like a little stuffed turtle.

I search something special special maybe something from another culture to show her my "love"

 

Best example is her present for me this birthday

The Willow (did i used the right letters >_<) tree Sisters by Heart... I never knew this idea to show someone the feelings he/she had but these are great. So i wish i could find also such an awesome idea. So the idea to ask international to find maybe an other culture idea?!? ^^

I want something really special too for her >__<

 

The Willow Tree figurines are very popular here too. My mom gave me the girl with a puppy and the girl with a teapot. That's great you got one from your friend.

 

Do you have shops with things like that? We have them here. There are many kinds of gifts, cards, stuffed animals, balloons, flowers, candies, etc. It's fun to browse.

No we dont have much shops with such heartful things >__<

Thats why i hope to find an international idea ^^

A matching item always a great choice to show friendship, well, that is usually me and my friends.

 

If your friend like to write, buy a nice, thick book for her. Maybe you can even suggest an exchange diary

If she is stylist person, buy accecories for both of you, maybe in a different color but same style. My friend and I have a same phone strap, she have blue, mine is green and we both still have it till now.

I think it's better some item that is practical, so whenever she see/use it, she is reminded with you and your friendship.

 

But then, the thought is the most important and since you know her better than us, I'm sure she will be very happy with whatever you give

At Mistuki: Oh what a cute store, we also have similar stores, but i have the feelings that nothing really can show what i want to "say" to her... But i really love such stores!!! ...

These stores are fun. I see what you mean about finding something that says the right message. It can be hard. If someone touches your life in an important and deep way, how do you turn that feeling into a physical object? It is always good to try though.
