I can di abit of hand sewing and know the basics of my sewing machine, bt ive never make clothes or patterns before.

Does anyone know of anywhere i could get different patterns for a MDDII size thats good for beginners or anywhere that explains how to draw up patterns and take measurements?

I made a couple patterns for MDD -

Stretchy fabric is more forgiving to sew with, but you have to get the right needle for your sewing machine to make it work. I think trying some existing patterns will help you figure out more about how they work and how to make your own.

I tend to buy outfits/clothing, then use those to work out how pieces are made and how they fit together and what shape each piece is to make my own versions. I just use paper and draw/trace the rough outline shape of eah piece, add seam allowance and off i go. Sometimes it takes a few tries and tweaks to make it work but yeah.... ^-^

Good luck! ♡

The needle you want to use for knit fabrics is usually called 'ball point' or 'jersey' or 'stretch', they are all designed to sew with stretchy knit fabric like sock and t-shirt materials. Usually folks at the craft/fabric shops are very helpful if you can tell them what you want to make, and will point you to the right needle and fabric to use.
