Dollfie Aerie Comes Home!

Hey guys, it's been a while. ^^;; Life kind of got the better of me for a while--first my laptop died, and I was without one for a month, then graduation, then SDCC, and I also started up a website with SirNarwhal that's been eating up all of my time. I've missed the boards a lot though, so I'll try to be a lot more active!

 

I've acquired 2 new Dollfies since I was last here, first DD Sakuno (nicknamed Sakura) as a grad present, and then more recently Aerie! Aerie actually got here barely 4 days ago, and here's what happened when she got in.

 

 

We needed an assistant to help open the box, and Marisa was the perfect choice. She seemed a bit miffed about the whole thing, though.

 

Another one? Man, I hate introductions… can’t I just go upstairs and take a nap?

 

Well, I “borrowed” this sword from Saber. I’ve always wanted to use it, so I guess I’ll help you out just this once.

 

 

Oh my god, is this…. it’s Aerie! My older sister Aerie!

 

But…. what’s wrong with her eyes?!

 

 

Oh my god you perverts, don’t look at her boobs!

 

 

Aerie: The spice must flow!

 

Marisa: Uh yeah, we’re going to have to do something about that…

 

A: Aaah, much better!

 

 

A: I think these eyes look much better, don’t you?

 

M: Aerie, I’ve missed you so much! Where have you been for the past 6 months?

A: Oh, I was at Nun School!

 

M: Nun School….? That’s not a real thing.

A: Okay, maybe I got a little lost.

 

M: It’s great to have you back, Aerie, but… I think we need to get you some modern clothing.

 

A: What’s wrong with my nun outfit?! It’s religious!

M: With a skirt that short, dear sister, “religious” is the last thing that outfit is….

And there you have it, the newest member of my family! Aerie's also the only one related to any of my other dolls, though we have plans for an upcoming MDD custom and Akira (who I won in the lottery, whooo!). It's great to be back, though I think it's going to take me a while to catch up with all of the new stuff on the boards. ^^;

Congrats on getting Airy in as well as getting back to posting! I was wondering where you had gotten off to.

 

I agree that changing her eyes out did wonders... nice choice on her new ones, they look good.

Congrats! I've always thought Aerie and Marissa would make darling sisters, and you just proved it. And those new eyes you chose for her are gorgeous!

Thanks everyone! I'm really pleased with the new eyes, I wanted to get a feeling that was more like Tony's original art. I have even better eyes for Nellis, but she's not coming home for a few more months!

Those eyes really suit Aerie well! I want to change my Airy's eyes too, but she's just so cute, her face says "be gentle with me." Where as Aoi-chan already looks pissed off, not like clawing glue out of her head ccan make her that much more angry...

Moving to the real world! Which admittedly is a bit scary.

 

The eyes are from Yahoo Japan, I can't remember the exact company but I think it was ARC-Labs or something like that? I have 3 other pairs from them, the colors are just fantastic.

Yup, that's Marisa! Definitely one of my favorites, she's just so cute. And she has the same nyan mouth as Aerie, which is why we decided to make them sisters. There's going to be a 3rd member of the family soon!
