Busou Shinki Fans; Farewell!

Heyo! I just wanted to know if there were any hidden and covert Busou Shinki members here. If you know of any then you'll know that Busou Shinki may be breathing the last breath for an honourable death for eternity. Konami JP recently hosted a clearance sale to sell off all of their Busou Shinkis to those that reserved tickets (1500 slots) with 2000-3000 Busou Shinki fans lining up, even if they knew they wouldn't get in. They wanted to let Konami Japan know full well that Busou Shink isn't dead to them and that they want more from them by coming out in force and raiding everything. Konami hasn't been doing the best they could with Busou Shinki as they let things slip and slide to their death many times, even screwing with their own figure line that would have easily rivaled that of Figma's if they didn't botch it up in their offices.

 

Fans also did a massive raid in Akihabara and possibly in other places to mass-purchase Busou Shinkis for their possible swan song of graceful death and to let Konami know they still care about the Busou Shinki line. Everything from Mandarake and similar stores have been cleared out cleaner than you can wash your hands with soap. The last glorious "Ride On!" before its possible grim death.

Can't say that I've been into them as far as you are, but I'll thank you for being one of the main contributors that sparked my interest!

 

I do hope that this "farewell" does serve as a wake-up call, though, I would not mind seeing the animated series continue, along with re-releases and hopefully, new figures appear.

(To the moderators that are pondering of merging this thread with the "other figures photos", please don't! I ask of you to keep this separated as this is a grieving and mourning thread to the Busou Shinki line that may never see the light of day again knowing Konami.)

 

You're very welcome, and to anybody else who was influenced by me to obtain Shinkis. I also thank Persocom (an ex-blogger) for getting me into the Busou Shinki fandom. He took me in with Shinki Renge which allowed me to get Kohiru, Benio, then the rest. It's been a short fun ride.

 

And as we both said, hope Konami clues in and actually revives the line to make more goodies. I don't want to be negative as I love the Busou Shinki line. It's just a shame that Konami isn't acting like any other company who wants to sell figures only to kill stuff instead. Seeing what they did to Battle Rondo, the LA Store, the English Busou Shinki site, and Battle Communications has me leaning more towards Busou Shinki given a swan song of glorious death. I want to see more Anime shorts, more games, and more figures....even if I may complain that my wallet and room space can't keep up

Please! Let this mourning be short-lived Konami so I can get back to purchasing your Busou Shinki goodies!

It's too bad, but I had a feeling it would end this way. :c I used to be heavily into them, even to the point of trying to make customs. The last one I got was Arnval Mk.2 Tempesta.

 

Arctic, bat, your girls are really cute! ^^ I don't have any photos of mine anymore (and they are in storage at the moment), or I'd share who I have here.

It's indeed too bad. Not trying to say the ship is sinking but from what I can see it just might. Ah! Nice to hear on that part. Tempesta is a Shinki I wanted to get to top off my collection, or to at least join with one of the Biker girls and one of the "Asian" sisters.

 

And thanks! Glad to hear that. If you're up to it I wouldn't mind seeing your images. Apparently flickr has a 1 TB image cap now for you to share with.

 

I'm also going to leave this here in hopes of more Shinkis. Maybe I was too uppity about the whole thing.

Most of my Shinki collection. I've also picked up the original Strarf, Lirbiete, one of the Sky Girls MMS figures, and a second black body for the other Waffe Dolphin head, along with a Plastica coat.

I remember when I ordered my first two girls back in 2011 and most of them were really cheap!

I remember wanting a lot of them, but always putting off buying them since they "kept remaining in stock everywhere and being so cheap".

Then suddenly they all disappeared and got really expensive, just like that.

I managed to grab on last girl last year, and she'll probably be my last Busou.

It's really a shame to see the line end since they were really nice figures.

Their joints may not be what they used to be anymore, but they are still my adorable little girls.

I had no idea they might be ending soon! I used to be really into them, though I only have howling. I haven't really thought about them in a while but, I remember they are pretty cool figures. Sucks they might discontinued.

I just have 5 shinki in my collection and its from the earlier wave, and this happen when I'm planning for continuing my shinki collection

It is very sad to see this news, but just seeing how there really are no new support.. games/media/toys etc.. it eventually will die out.
