I can build a whole apartment out of my boxes. They won't keep the cold out though so I guess they aren't worth too much. Awww But I like them.

This. They're worth their weight in... paper. But I like to keep them! Between two identical dolls for sale, one with a box and one without, I'm more likely to get the girl with the box. If you're looking to get rid of some, I'd offer them for the cost of shipping.

It's best to keep specific character boxes if you plan on reselling the girl later on. I don't think to many US collectors care about the boxes or put much value in them but for Japanese collectors, having the original box is paramount to a complete doll and WILL add to the overall value. Keeping the paperwork is also needed for completeness sake.

So if you plan to sell any girls later on, in order to maximize your profits you should hold on to everything that comes with them. Especially if you plan to sell online and internationally.

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

Yup, have to agree that most folks outside Japan care little about the box or its condition. I've kept all my boxes, but a lot of the yellow ones are flattened out so they don't take over my ENTIRE closet! And really for the standard boxes, they're not much to look at, though some like Yuki, Cirno and Saber Extra have special design boxes that I'm more careful with

Good to know. Nanoha's box is one of the big sliders and can hold a ridiculous amount of stuff, so I don't mind keeping that one, but Agatha's got the transparent plastic kind, and it's sort of falling apart.

In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

I flatten all my yellow cardboard boxes and store them in an empty closet. I have the paperwork and default stuff for the dolls stored in the massive "limited edition" boxes (ex. Saber Lily, KOS-MOS, etc).

I'm getting ready for a huge renovation project so many of my girls have gone back into their boxes and it's been a good task to consolidate all their bits and pieces. Sometimes I have stored default eyes in my "eye bag," or an accessory somewhere else.

I'm not the type of collector to buy a floating head, so while the box has no intrinsic value, it's at least useful to store the doll in?
