Dollfie the Best Selection Polls!

Not too surprising that Sasara came out on top. I didn't see Melty coming though but it does make me happy since she's close to the top of my list.

 

I hate you Volks, I want Melty and Sasara both in my life.

I sincerely hope Sorbet's hat is removable.

I wonder if the original melty's price will go down. Since they're doing a re-release and all. I have a melty too but twins do sound good to me.

Believe me, I've been tempted, but at this point I have to admit my priority is on a new camera still. I'm sick of having a pocket-type point-and-shoot, and it's got dirt inside the lens somehow. >.<

I have Melty already, but Sasara has long been a doll I have loved from afar because I knew there was never a possibility that I could get her.

 

I love this new version even more and I hope there is a way.

I knew Melty would win! The thing is if you look at who she's competing against, the number of times she'd be someone's second or third choice is pretty high. plus I wanted her to win.

 

The xmas outfit is very cute, but I want her original! A lot! (－‸ლ)

 

Also I'm not interested in DDdys.

Im kind of disappointed at myself for purchasing a fullset Melty recently XD

 

I will be looking to buy/trade the outfit + sorbet of this release though - I like it better than the original outfit and sorbet!

I had my fingers crossed for Kanu but I'm not surprised Sasara won.

I hope Volks releases a tan girl soon - I mean, its been years since Kanu was released. I would die if they release a DDS tan.

In the photo next to the price, you can see Sorbet's hat separate from Sorbet, so I'm betting it is removable.

I thought it was a combined DDdy/DD poll and a combined DDS/MDD poll? So there may not be DD and MDD winners? Volks character models were a separate poll (so probably another Mariko? ).

I'm wondering if this whole voting poll had an unsaid stipulation... lucy was rereleased, indicating a possibility of Volks still having the 2heart license. And then of course melty is recent with the last Sakuya release. This all could have been who got the most votes then who Volks could get the license from cheaply to do another release. Bc really Lily, rise, Kanu and the like... You'd think they would have come out over melty since she's so recent of a release already. (Not to say I would scoff at owning her... But the Christmas theme? Ehh)

 

If this is lottery I'll be very disappointed. Esp with them being so close to the next dolpa if that's when they plan to release. You would think with the fan selection that would make them want to have them available for all fans to get so a preorder would be best, I think.

I think those girls are all DD or DDDy, so they'd have been competing with Sasara, not Melty. I really wish Volks would have split each doll type though. I really wanted Rise to win.

Ahh maybe so. Were the idolmaster girls included at all in the voting? I'm on my phone and work break, so I can't remember fully if they were. Miki or Yukiho should have had another release considering.

 

It just seems really coincidental that Melty won for the DDS when they just recently did a rerelease for the Shining Hearts line. But there haven't been that many DDS I guess so perhaps thats why Melty one too

Yukiho was in the polls I voted for her.

I figured they would do a release for each type.

They should just do a pre-order, why poll people and re-release if they are going to be impossible to get from Volks?

I already have Melty but I really like her new outfit. Hopefully since so many seem lukewarm about it I can pick it up separately.

Sasara will probably be hard to get a hold of, I bet lots of people will enter for her. I'm not surprised she won another release!

 

Melty....oh, I love Melty a lot. Maybe her market price will go down now. To me Melty has a similar vibe to Miku, so I told myself before, I don't need both. But Melty is so lovely, I'm tempted still.

Of course it will be a lottery - there's only one pre-order project per year, and we already know that's Macross Frontier! ^_^; The re-releases started with the November Collection clothes, and it will continue with this dolpa's DDs, SDs, and clothes. It is also highly likely to continue into the February collection and the March dolpa since there are many clothing lines and doll lines to re-release. So, I'm expecting it to be Volks Remix Edition Hour for a while.

 

SD Charlotte/Lieselotte is getting another re-release, even though their Closet Room versions came out just a year ago. So, I'm not sure that time is a factor so much as poll results.

 

My Volks News will probably come today or tomorrow, at which point I can read the fine print to see if there's any clarifying information on future plans for the poll results.

Hey Volks could always do something different (though i'm not holding my breath XD). It just seems odd for a fan selection event, they'd make it so random on who can really get the winning gals. Sort of like saying: "hey we're letting the fans decide which doll will be rereleased! but... we'll still release it via lottery so the odds are stacked against most fans being able to own the re-released version."

 

Call that blatant disdain for the win-lose ratio of current lottery winners... lol Maybe Melty has a higher chance now because of her x-mas outfit, but Sasara? I bet the odds for the lottery results will be even worse for her.

 

But who knows, maybe things will be different. #probablynot

I'm not surprised at the resin re-releases, even if they were only a year ago they are suuuper popular and I don't think the Rosen Maiden dolls were in the running ;3

 

It'd be great if Volks does a larger than usual run on the re-release dolls but I wouldn't hold my breath. Somehow I think their prices are gonna hold as long as they are popular. When interest wanes in licensed characters the prices definitely fall, like for Nanoha and Haruhi. There's still a lot of action in To Heart and the Shining series so I don't see any cheap Sasaras and Meltys in the near future.
