Kino's unexpected letter

A few weeks ago we had a pretty good ice storm here in SC. I really wanted some snow so some of my girls could go out and play in it but sadly we didn't get any. Kino was the most disappointed as she really wanted to build a snowman.

 

Fast forward a few weeks and I'm in the computer room with Kino messing around online. Kino is playing with her new purse/bag and some stuffed animals.

Hey Kino, I think I just heard the mailman. I'm gonna go see if we got anything.

 

"Ok Papa. I'll wait here for you."

Well Kino, I got some wonderful bills in the mail but YOU got a letter!

 

"Whaaa?"

"It's from Holly and Gretchen! They were the girls who sent me pictures of all the pretty snow!"

 

Ahh, that's pretty cool. What do they say?

 

"Lots of stuff!"

Kino, snow is frozen water and snow doesn't keep well inside an envelope. I'm sorry to say that your snowman has melted and left behind just his parts like the carrot nose, his coal eyes and the twigs for arms.

 

"So.... so there's no snowman?"

 

No dear, I'm sorry. But there are lots of tiny and pretty snowflakes in the package! You can enjoy those!

I think they are Kino, you got lucky that those didn't melt too.

"Because Miss Sprout said that if anyone deserved a snowball in the face it was you Papa! Wasn't that nice of her to say? She wants you to have fun too!"

 

I don't think that's *quite* what she meant Kino.... wait, don't you dare throw...

I'd like to thank Bouncing Tigger and her two girls Holly and Gretchen for sending this adorable letter and snowman to us! Kino had so much fun with it! It was super nice of you all to send us this stuff, it really made our day! And I'm sorry it took so long for me to get these photos up for you to see. I've been super busy lately and had to put things off a bit. But it's finally up and done! Thanks again!

That was mind-bogglingly adorable! Nice that she and her pen pals found a way for her to build a snowman without actual snow!

 

I also find it hilarious that she completely misinterpreted Sprout's intentions. I guess everything becomes sunshine, rainbows, and puppies when they've gone through the Kino Brain Machine.XD

We are so glad that Kino enjoyed her surprise letter! Sorry that the snowman didn't make it (apparently we should have included his own personal flurry... lol) but glad to see that the snowballs survived! We had a lot of fun putting this together for you, Kino!

Ha ha! I have made sure NOT to see Frozen yet and I don't plan on it either. Thank you about the story, we had fun doing it and it was nice to see that letter show up like it did. And yes, Sprout's vitriol towards me totally got mulched in the Kino Brain Machine. She's all kittens and sunshine, just like I like her.

Thanks! I agree that Gretchen and Holly did an amazing job of making this letter for Kino. We both enjoyed it immensely! One of these years we'll see actual snow and Kino can make her own snowman.

Haha, Sprout WOULD say that. The misunderstanding was sooo cute though. Kino is far too adorable, Every time I see those girls I want an MDD more and more. She really does seem the cold weather-oriented type. I cracked up when she put the "Cabbort" up to her nose. Lovely story. We need MOAR Kino!

Thank you! It does seem that little Kino is pretty popular with everyone... more than I figured she would be in the beginning. But that makes me happy that people enjoy seeing her! And you're not the only one who's said Kino looks or seems like she's from colder climes. Someone even said she's a snow fairy or elemental. I don't think she's either but that would be cool if she was!

 

I'll see about getting more Kino pics and stories up in the future. I've got an idea for her and Minako and an outdoor adventure but I have to wait for the weather to cooperate with me before I can do it. Stupid crazy weather....
