Sunday practice: Battle of the buns. (Picspam)

Use it or lose it, trying to hone posing and angling skills, and decided to revisit an old picture I had taken awhile back when I still only had a point & shoot camera:

 

 

I had some variable light source problems (damn clouds.. ), and there is also a discontinuity error when sabers boots get swapped for pumps, because I got fed up with the lack of posability with the booties.

 

Cheats, everybody loves cheats, and the one used here is a bit of bluetack to keep the swords in the dolls hands.

 

Sabers Schwartz was as usual a bit longer so that caused a few unfair size differences in the angle reverses.

Oh man, Kimberly is so jealous of that sword. She wants one soo bad. Nice combat poses. I really need to get a few blades for my girls.

 

Your Saber is really well balanced to be able to hold poses with that sword in hand.

Shino's swords are the 1/3 Doyusha Yagyu Yubei sword pair, that are a pretty nice match for DD's, except the handles might be a bit too big.

 

it was a fun set to make, although took more time than say with the ballet shoot.

 

Sabers holding out pose was a fun one, setting up the arm rigid vertically. Shoulder basicly upside down, and the elbow and wrist aligned so it wont bend downwards.

 

Although the success of this pose is mostly due using bluetack to help keep the sword in the hand, since sabers caliburn is very iffish to pose with to begin with.

 

Shino was surprisingly more difficult to pose, perhaps with her body starting to show its age, and also putting her in poses with bent kneas never is that stable, especially without having fiddled with the knea joint screws before hand.

 

EDIT, oh and before I forget alltogether, Sabers one handed poses were inspired a bit by Linca in Atelier Escha & Logy, so shouldnt be surprised if its a bit similar.

 

This window courtain is probably one of the best features of my house amusingly considering lighting photos, although I really should start to find or make other places to shoot stuff.
