Yukamina Posted April 2, 2014 Ahhhh! I was dressing my girl and her arm fell off It just snapped... She's a DD3 with Cool Cat reinforcements. The reinforcements make her shoulders quite stiff to move, I think the stiffness put too much resistance on her joints. The part that broke is the peg the attaches the upper arm to the lower arm... I don't know what to do or how to fix her Please help me... My Etsy Shop ~~~ My DeviantArt
XOHimitsuOX Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) If you're handy with DIY or know some that is you try this. Get a M2 screw, about 2 cm or longer. Mark 2cm from the tip of the screw with a marker. Next on the broken rods, mark the center points and using a 1.6 drill bit, drill 1cm into each rod. This is the tricky part as it needs to be dead center and straight. Screw the m2 screw in one end of the broken rod, then cut off the screw at the 2cm mark with a hacksaw. Then screw in the other part of the rod. Before the 2 pieces meet, mix up some epoxy and apply it between the broken joints, then continue screwing the joints together until they meet. Wait an hour or so when the epoxy has dried, and sand off the excess epoxy. If done correctly you'll have a rod as good as new Edited April 3, 2014 by Guest

Yukamina Posted April 3, 2014 Thank you for the advice, and so quick... I followed your guide as best I could but when I screwed the 2 pieces back together, it wasn't properly straight. I was worried the slant might be trouble later, so I tried something else. I filled the holes I drilled with a couple small nails and epoxy putty. It might not be as secure as the other method, but I feel it should still be strong (probably still stronger than the plain plastic peg). I'll try to put her arm back together tomorrow after the epoxy fully cures... I'm sorry, Iris! I was just trying to make a pretty outfit for you, I didn't mean to break you >_< My Etsy Shop ~~~ My DeviantArt

But knowing how to fix it is satisfying.
