Volks News Vol 58

Volks News Volume 58 will begin shipping on Monday April 7th JST (per their email newsletter). People in Kyoto will get theirs that day, so you could look for scans on Twitter starting then. I'll be able to confirm anything necessary and provide additional translations when my issue arrives in Tokyo around Wednesday.

 

Expected in this issue is:

 

Dolpa 31 dolls and dresses

June dress collection

Possibly DD Fest in Akihabara for July, if they do one again this year

 

So far we know the Dolpa 31 DDs to be Shibuya Rin and Kanzaki Ranko from Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls, as mentioned in their separate thread here on the forums and on DD Blog.

I am super excited for this news! I'm sure there's going to be a ton of things I will be excited for! I hope there will be a summer collection for DD clothes.

Would there be a possibility that they might announce the new line in there, or would they do it some other way? I have been aching to know what it is...

So Ranko comes with a black bra, huh? Girl has enough staining probs as it is! And I suppose the wings are what makes her slightly more expensive.

Would there be a possibility that they might announce the new line in there, or would they do it some other way? I have been aching to know what it is...

I read all of the scans on that twitter. Sadly there seems to be no info. Lets hope something might pop in Volks News 59. I am guessing that issue will be out in June.

I know it is not DD related but is there any infos on the new Yo? I would like to know if there are limited ones or new standard ( I can dream )

Surprisingly, my issue actually arrived today; no idea how it got here so fast this time when it usually takes a couple days. To answer a few questions...

 

There's no information about the rumored new dollfie line. There was info about the new SD Standard Models though: the first three will be SD10 Girls - Coco, Saki, and Chiyo.

 

Kikuchi Makoto was hinted as the next regular iDOLM@STER girl to be released. They usually come in pairs, but there was no info on more than one at this time.

 

Both Cinderella Girls are advertised as standard DD3/DDS bodies. I guess the one-piece torsos are for main-line 765 Production idols only. (Cinderella Girls is a spinoff of the main iDOLM@STER).

 

Ranko's black bra appears to be lined in white, based on what we can see of the underside of the straps. I think the only point of the bra is so that you can see the black strap through her shirt's armholes. The Volks photos are done this way, and I assume it was a detail from the original art drawings.

 

The new YoSDs are Rinon, Kanata, and Elena. They are some of the DP31 limited SDs.

That new Black Label Lolita Dress is cute. Also, I like that they're continuing those apron sets. I really like the "housewife"-styled one.

I'm definitely digging the Designer's Collection goodies this time around! The SD16 one for sure, though I'll need more info on the rest of them before I know what'll fit who and therefore what's most tempting.

 

. . . aaaand that's about it for me this time. ^^; Not much is clamoring for my money beyond the Designer's Collection stuff. Guess that gives me more money to get a sofa. :/

Pink versions of the Monochrome Lolita outfits I missed out on.

 

I love these so much more!!! It must have been fate me not being able to get the black and white versions. I will stop at nothing to make sure I secure these.

 

Extra bonus these are the only outfit sets that have my interest. This is a happy day for me.

Bit hard to read the sizes, but the steampunk-ish designers collection ones that fit my girls will definitely be needed. If I get those and Ranko out of this Dolpa, I'll be a happy camper.

I've set my eyes on a couple outfits... silly question here, but how are these being released? Will they be on the site to buy via cart, will they be impossible to get a hold of?

They'll first be released at the Dolpa event in May and then about 2-3 weeks afterwards on the website for international customers in the after event. Nearer the time they'll announce the date and time for the sale of the outfits. They'll be very limited like most outfit releases so you'll literally have about a minute or less to add the outfits you want to cart before they'll be sold out.

 

It can be difficult to get certain outfits but I myself have had decent luck at grabbing what I want in the past, you just need to be ready and prepared. Once they've been added to cart you have them on hold for about 30 mins at least.

The After-Event is Saturday 24 May at 10am JST, per the calendar.
