05 and 07 modified heads. (image/link request)

05 and 07 modified heads. (image/link request).

 

I am pondering getting these heads for my male characters BUT I will be modifying both of them ((07 eyes and 05 eyes possibly mouth too))

 

I wanted to know if any one has or has seen any nice modifications to these heads and if you are able to link images that will be nice.

 

((I don't know if this is the right place for this if not move it where it lives hehe. I will know for next time.))

Mostly its eye modding I am looking at. I am thinking of using a eye closed head and opening it my self so it will have the right look for Gaaras head. most of the moded dolls I see are the 01 so I had not seen these heads before.

 

I put this together to show my friend and I think its the 07 I will go for but I still don't know if the eye moving will be ok.

 

The work I am thinking of is sanding the top part where the "top" of the lid should be on the head and brining the lid down to make the shape for he's eyes different.

 

But again I have not seen this modding my self so I just wondered what it may look like madding the lid this way.

 

I wish you luck with this! I would like to make a few boys, but I'm not liking any of the sculpts. They are all to girly for the characters I want make. I do not have the ability to mod a head as much as I want, but I would love to see what you do.

 

The 05 eye shape I think is a little closer to Gaara's. The 07 has a closer chin and mouth though, especially if you sand down the lips a little bit.

I think Gaara's face has more structure (broad chin, small almond shaped eyes, wide mouth with more defined lips, an actual jaw line) than any DD face. Maybe a resin BJD would suit him better :/ Nothing says a BJD head can't be anime style. Unless you want him in a different style than the references.

I've been toying with that idea to make a boy but the noses are just too realistic, and sometimes the lips as well. I want a more anime aesthetic because he won't match the look of my DD girl

Sam with me I want the anime look so him and Error don't look odd. with the eyes I will be moding them so its not to much to worry about but the face shape of the 07 is closest I think so its just the eyes and how they may look I am thinking about. and face-ups can do a lot to the head so that's in the line up too

Thank you. dem my mazing art skillz! haha no but I tried to follow the line I would make with modding the eyes and I think its possible just need to work on the inside if the eye so it looks nice and get my self some really small sand paper so it don't look like its been sanded.
