finnleo Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Pre-notice: Nina000 Well, I had that photo story teased in the Youmu new arrival post, and pretty much have it sorted by now (and having swapped the exhaust on my car as a side plot). I originally had planned the start in a very different fashion than this, but as things happened, not all good I decided to alter it to fit the mood. This time things got a little... weird. I was pretty up beat despite everything, as the story was taking form, and it was meant as a very cheery despite everything. But after looking at the shots it seemed quite a bit .. melancholy in tone, hence the peculiar title which is a hint about what this started to feel being a carbon copy of -- Despite the comic middle gag with Shino. as a result I'm adding a few options for background music at the key moment, for a serious, and not so serious mood. There are a few discontinuity errors, mostly things appearing at the long walk scene, and things moving about there, since Nina did take a fall and I had to move the setup to retrieve her. She also swaps bodies for Melty's unitorso for the more bare bits because her own body got into really bad shape around her midriff. Also, had to resort to Lego's as set material, but I didnt want to nitpick too much, and went with it, otherwise I never would have gotten this done. But for now.. Im actually pretty chuffed about how this turned out: nina002 EDIT, If considering doing a similar thing, if using actual bandaid stuff just make sure you dont leave it on for an extended period of time, as you'll end up regretting it... this girl really is going from bad to worse, to catastrophic... oh well.. heh. finnleo Posted April 13, 2014 Thank you all very many. mm, the outfit maketh the doll, the Kouhai red kimono (or Apricot Red kimono as it was sold in english) was my first choise for Nina, so I was pretty chuffed about getting in the after event sale. While I wont say Youmu's head will become a classic like say Reimu, or Cirno out of the Touho series, her head is still fun to work with, since with minor tilts and angles you can play with her expression a little. Was surprised how well the Volks J-series eyes worked too, these purple one's are pretty good for the Nina Viente look I imagined, but I just wish they would make a darker blue for another thing I have in mind... Thank you, mm.. it was nice that the mirror gag got noted, been wanting to do some of these orzkf (on flickr) style mirror shots, It was a real fun challenge and then coming up with the vertical pan because I didnt want to be too risque with having a full body view while Nina was still topless. Wow what a transformation she looks totally badass now. I love the shots of her getting undressed/redressed you posed them so well Thank you very many.
