DDI Wobble Head! & DDS Loose joint questions~

Recommended Posts

So I have an old (2003) DDI body I adore.. But my Yaya head is such a little wobbler on there. She has the old Coolcat neck adapter and a kip.. But still is so wobbly. Would an S-Hook work better? Any other advice?

Also, my Alice has EXTREMELY loose joints. Her lower arm will easily fall off with the slight movement, lower and upper arms slip out of place by touching or posing. Is this still just a fault with DDS? Any way to get her arms to stay better? I worry about ever taking her out and loosing a joint. (This almost happened the first time I took her out.. Her lower right arm from elbow down fell off completely and I almost didn't notice it in the dark!)

Sorry if these have been asked before.. Thanks anyone for the advice!

I'm not familiar with the DDI bodies, the I've read that people wrap tape around the pegs of loose arms and such to bulk them up until they fit snug.

Thank you! I hope that will fix Alice.

It's so weird because my 06 head did not have this problem on my DD1 body, but Yaya spins her head with the slightest movement! I have her strung tightly and a neck adapter with a KIP. Really trying to figure out how to fix her.

Hi,

My doll Anzu has a type 4 head on a type 1 body ( nice to read someone else is still using this body type) and I use a large keyring hoop that has a hinge so it can be removed easily. The tension from the body string stops the head wobbling at all and she is able to hold different head position poses well better than her type 2 sister in my opinion. I think an s hook could also solve your problem but I do not have one to try myself.

Thanks!

It's so weird because my 06 head did not have this trouble on the body, but Yaya does I love this body so much (I actually inspired my friend to find one!) and yes.. The posing is so much fun! I love the clicking joints. I will try finding something and switching her out of the neck adapter. Thank you!!
