Touhou girls group pictures down page 1 :)

 

Here is my dear Chiyo-chan, my lucky doll (snatched on the international website thanks to archeotech)(and kept after her arrival thanks to Cauldy ).

Youmu is a wonderful mold, more versatile without her default eyes, in my opinion.

Here she is wearing Arietta Project T-05 24 mm in gray. I realise now that she would be great with Melty-style eyes too with this eye shape of her, but she will stay that way, at least for a while, as all my girls are now wearing the same style of eyes. Here is Knox with red ones :

Oh wow, Chiyo is amazing! She looks like a totally different doll, now that you've changed the eyes. I am SO happy that you will be keeping her! I think she'll be a great addition to your family and I can't wait to see a photo of all three together. The grey is such a great color in her, too! It's amazing how the same style of eyes looks so distinct in each girl, too.

Pharaviel : Thanks a lot ! Hikaru is my only girly-girl, even if I don't plan on dressing her in frilly dresses, she will be less boyish than the two others . I hope I manage to take a family picture this week .

Cauldy : This is so great you like her ! Thanks for being there, the eyes were definitely what prevented me from completely bonding with her ! Can't wait to try the group shot . I'm happy with the render of the eyes, you are are right, they do look different in the dolls even if they are same style .

Here is an attempt at a group shot...

Background is actually made of nice colorful triangles but turned out super-funky rainbow mess... I really must sew these girls some clothes (or invest in Volks outfits)... and go outside for taking pictures .

It's so great to see all three of them together! I think Youmu looks like a street-wise older sister to the younger and more playful looking Marisa & Reimu. What a happy and beautiful family trio!

 

I'm soooo excited to hear about Saber Alter style. Now I'll need to hold off on my next order -- maybe I'll want to buy some? Although they look kind of narrow to me, whereas original Alter eyes are fairly round... Hmmm. Such decisions to make!
