Pic request: Different eye types in dolls

So I now own my first DD (Mai Shiranui) and although I do love her eyes, I'm thinking A a different colour for her and B I want to try and make her look slightly cuter/doe eyed (I'm already thinking about giving her eyelashes). I'm not entirely sure what animetic eye type she came with (I'm guessing an F or something similar)

 

However there are so many different types of the animetic eyes alone (they're the ones I'm most interested in as I already own other types from my resin dolls that I could always test, but I don't mind seeing pictures of those also) that I just wouldn't know which ones to choose without being able to see them in a dolls head.

 

My instincts tell me that going for one of the rounder shaped anime eyes (A,B etc) will help with the cuter look, but I just want to be sure. I'm already a fan of Ersa Flora eyes and know they do round anime styled ones too.

If Mai came with her default eyes, then they're an original, unique style. Most releases have custom eyes, made just for their release. Mai's default eyes are Acrylic Eye 22mm Metallic Animetic ("Mai Shiranui" Original Design) according to Volks.

I've got a Mai and she was one of the hardest to get "right" for me. What I mean is, it took me a long time to find a look I liked for her to be MY Mai. I tried a lot of different eyes in her and since you asked about those, I'll show you what me and Mai went thru to get to her final look.

 

Mine came with her default eyes but they weren't installed in her when she arrived. She had some Volks animatic reds in her. I'm not sure what style these are but I know they're 22mm.

After a few different wig swaps, I decided to try her default eyes.

While I liked those, I didn't really feel it with those so I tried some bright greens in her. These were some custom 22mm ones I made using Pupa Paradise custom blank eyes and some printed eyes made by my friend Mitsuki.

I was on the right track and the wig she had was definitely what I wanted for her. But when I got my Saber Extra, I finally found the eyes to complete Mai as she was meant to be for me. Saber Extra came with an extra pair of green 22mm eyes and since I preferred the other set that was already in Saber, these went to Mai.
