good morning to all!

are an Italian guy who collects dolls for over 10 years (barbie, mh, fashion royalty, but especially bjd).

I have always found the DD very nice but I've never bought one because I've always been afraid that you could smudge or ruin.

But now I feel like a MDD! : D

I also collect BJD ^^ I found that with DD you just have to be more aware of what can potentially stain them, and do more prewashing than I ever bothered to do for my BJD :'D

Most of the outfits you will need to hand wash, same with wigs to prevent staining and air dry. Most of us are very paranoid about some outfits with dark colors. The vinyl bodies tend to absorb the color, sometimes more if they aren't washed before wearing.

 

Here is one of the topics relating to stains and dollfie bodies. Tried finding the one on the steps to hand washing clothing but couldn't find it. Hopefully someone else knows where it is.

You can prevent some staining from outfits, but some outfits will stain no matter what you do.

^^ Suiseiseki4life explained pre-washing way better than I could have done, so I'll just link a few more threads that also contain useful information.

 

This tutorial on figure.fm is about how to pre-wash/colour lock DD clothes in the washing machine.
