laurenk418 Posted June 2, 2014 I'm wondering when the option for 8-9 is sold out or not available, which is preferable - a wig that is too big, or too small? For example the option is either 9-10 or 7-8, has anyone taken this chance before? If so, how did it work out and given the choice which do you prefer? I know a silicone wig cap can help fit wigs than otherwise wouldn't fit. I'm asking since my dream wig is sold out in the DD size, so I'm wondering which if any I should go for. Jezrah Posted June 2, 2014 Personally I would wait for it to restock in 8/9, but if you're not the waiting type then I'd recommend the 9/10. It depends on the head you're putting it on, but 9/10 can fit fine with a wig cap. But I wouldn't recommend that for a smaller head like 03, 05, Kos Mos, etc. A 7/8 likely would not fit at all unless it's very stretchy. I've heard of some people making a too small wig fit by cutting the back of the wig cap open, but I would never do that myself. I'd be worried about being able to see the cut, or wearing the wig out faster.

Honestly Leeke world aren't known for their restocks ^^; They'll only restock a wig once all the size options are sold out, and even then that can take months, or not happen at all depending on the amount of restock requests. I'm a little miffed that 8-9 is the only size sold out :c Ahh, thanks for the info as the wig would be for an 03 head, I'll just go for the larger size with a wig cap and hope it fits! chien Posted June 2, 2014 Too big is better than too small, as you can pad a doll's head to fit the wig. If it's too small, it'll just pop off. Try looking for alternate companies that sell similarly styled and colored wigs?

Its just a personal preference but I feel there aren't any other companies who do two toned wigs as well as leeke world does. In others I find it just tends to look tacky. Cauldroness Posted June 2, 2014 You can always message Leeke directly to ask for a restock. We did this for the recent Group Order (aeris wanted 2 wigs that were out of stock, and Leeke added them to our order without any problem at all). We did this for the recent Group Order (aeris wanted 2 wigs that were out of stock, and Leeke added them to our order without any problem at all). Yep, in the past when I wanted to join group orders... I requested for the leader of the G.O. to message Leeke for a restock of a particular wig. They always did it, and it was always included in the order. Before I really knew a lot about DD, I had ordered a 9-10 wig, and I was able to use it. I used a silicone wig cap and it made it fit perfectly. Those are not very expensive, and easy to come by. However the wig will not look exactly the same as if you got an 8-9 wig. It will help with the fit though, and maybe you will like it anyways. I think before you order the next size up, you should message Leeke and see what they can do about restocking the wig that you want in the size you need. Oh my, well that is very surprising to learn, as there are actually a few wigs I'd love to own but gave up on them the instant I saw that they were sold out. Do group orders for leeke world happen often? I'm interested in joining one now.
Cauldroness Posted June 2, 2014 I just finished running my first GO and it was surprisingly painless (everyone here is so friendly and so prompt with payment!), so I'll probably run a GO for each Leeke "season limited" wig pre-order. The summer colors are usually released in July, I think? Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram!
