Volks June Collection 2014 - June 14th

I just went to the main page and there is a banner that says "Dolpa 31 Collection & June 2014 Collection Arriving July 19th 2014!"

 

I miss the days where it would be a single collection being released. So far it seems the trend is to release 2 collections at a time Thankfully I don't want anything from either of these collections

That is good to know. Hopefully this time I will be able to get the outfits I missed out on during international website sale.

I tried but gave up. I think after 9 years I am done buying outfits from Volks. It is not worth it. I can't imagine anything that is worth how disappointing this whole process is.

I agree. I am extremely disappointed. I thought their new cart system meant that once the item is in your cart then it can't get taken out because now the site is saying that the starry hoodie set has zero inventory

 

Luckily, I was able to snag three outfits (1 for me and 2 for creationdss87) before Tenma got pissed off enough to smash my computer...but just barely.

Yup, they totally lied about items not getting stolen from the cart. Not that I could even make it to payment screen

I was only trying because I wanted to help a friend. But she will understand if I can't get the outfit for her. We all know too well how this process fails us.

 

I don't like that they didn't move to a system where the carts are protected. I thought that was what they were going to do.

Looks like it might still be in my cart on the computer. Here's to hoping I can actually pay for it

I am glad you were able to get through and checkout! The only way I can show Volks I am not happy with their click war system is to not buy anything from them. I now refuse to buy outfits from them unless they make an Iron Man Mark VII DD suit that ends up as a regular item at one of the Dolpas.

Managed to finally check out with a couple of items, but things kept disappearing from my cart as I was trying to get to check-out. I thought they were going to fix that!

Things that are saying out of stock are suddenly back in stock, so don't give up, Mitsuki!

My cart kept reseting when I'd add another item - but then time out, then when I finally got it to go through the checkout I went with whatever was in there at the time.. and it was the pink yukata and the pink laceup set. I had wanted to add other items (those black socks for my GA friend Taolli) but with it taking 45 minutes it just wasn't working.

 

VERY disappointed with VolksUSA... (as Osaka from Azumanga Daioh would say "Get it together! Get it together! Get it together!")

 

I'm with you Mitsuki - I'm not even that seasoned of a DD collector (what 2 years maybe?) and this is pushing me to not want to care about Volks releases b/c nearly everything is so darn hard to get. For all that trouble it's just going to make the 2ndary market charge even more than they normally do for the hard to get items.

 

I wish they'd try switching gears to a more preorder setup even if the preorder period is 1 day - if you have cash in hand, pay up, wait for them to make the item then ship it to you.

 

I hope everyone at least had a chance to get one item they wanted.. (still wanted that Green Vest/ruffle outfit.. but glob, not worth the risk)

I'm also very disappointed with Volks, it took me a lot of camping time to get a few items. They kept disappearing and reappearing, no consistency at all. I ended up checking out two different orders in order to get everything I wanted. I feel like I didn't get a chance to decide if I really wanted everything but ended up doing so anyways.

 

It is possible that I won't want the steampunk outfits when they arrive if anyone is interested in being back up for those. I won't make a profit on them. Thanks~

The inventory system resetting is worrying me. I hope that it didn't reset itself somehow and start the inventory over from the beginning.

 

...But yes, Volks made that so much more difficult than it should've been. I was going to be extremely irritated if I had lost the item. This was the first time I ordered an item on the day of release and I did not expect it to be so time consuming.

It took me like thirty minutes just to put two items in my cart and check out. That doesn't even include the time I spent trying to just load the website. Fortunately, I was able to purchase what I wanted.

The only thing actually listed as out of stock from today's release is the Active girl date set. That worries me a bit. D:

You are so sweet, DivinitaAria! Thank you! But I went out and did things in the real world instead of spending time getting nowhere on the site. >_< I would rather spend time with my family.

 

A lot of outfits aren't selling out. There are only one or two that people seem to really want. There are a few from previous events even that haven't sold out.

It should. I ordered from Volks on Tuesday, and it took them over a day to refund my money for an item that was out of stock. I was able to get a set an hour later, I'm really just waiting for them to cancel the order and give me a refund.

I was feeling guilty about buying my items from the Japanese release -- did I really need to pay the extra shipping fee when maybe I could have waited and purchased the items from VolksUSA? But it sounds like that was the right decision for me. (Besides, shipping from VolksUSA is $12 and from VolksJP is $22, so it's really only a savings of $10 per order.)

The plus side to this is that they seemed to have fixed the shipping charges for such lightweight items. It stayed 11$ even though I had two items in the cart.

 

Ugh the active set was one I got and I hope to glob I don't get a cancelation email... Ill flip lol
