Hello! I Have a LOT of Questions for You!

Hello there! I've been an avid figure collector for about 2 years now, and I'm thinking of getting a Dollfie! But I have a lot of questions; could you help me out? ^_^

 

1. Are Twin-Snow eyes on the market yet? I would really like a blue pair for whatever head I get

 

2. Is there a UK website for Dollfie parts and outfits?

 

3. Is there a brunette ponytail wig? I've had a look but haven't found one

 

4. Will standard DD clothes fit a DDdy waist? Specifically the 'Tenshi-no-Koromo Guiding Sister' nun outfit

 

5. Should my Dollfie wear underwear? I'm not keen on nipples showing through clothing, but I'm not sure their chests are soft enough for underwear to counteract it

 

6. What care items are needed? Can I use a standard hair brush etc?

 

7. Dollfie glasses! I haven't seen any, but they must exist!

Hello, I might be able to answer a few of your questions.

 

1) Twin-Snow became very unreliable with their orders, and now it seems that the site is closed down entirely. You can read about what happened here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1687 Sometimes people put up Twin-Snow eyes for sale, but there is not a store where you can just buy them. 2) I don't live in the UK or know of any UK specific websites, sorry.

 

3) I'm not sure of what kind of ponytail you're looking for, but there are some on Leekeworld website. Here is a link: http://leekeworld.com

 

4) Normally they do not fit because the DDdy has a larger bust and hip area. I do not know if that specific outfit fits, but in general the DDdy is much larger on the bottom so pants and things do not always fit.

 

5) I only use panties on my DDs, I do not have bra tops for them. I do not like the nipples poking through the clothes either, but luckily not a lot of my outfits have that problem. I don't know if bras prevent this or not.

 

6) The care items that I have are just wig caps, some people have protective garments for them, wig sprays, and other things. I haven't had a need for anything like that. I use a regular comb to brush their wigs. Eventually I might invest in doll-specific items, but so far I haven't needed to.

 

7) Almost all doll clothing websites have glasses for their dolls. Here are two sites that I know have glasses: http://crobidolls.com and http://dollmore.net

Well for question 2. I am in the UK and have been in the hobby for almost 8 years now. for shopping in the UK its mainly second hand or people in the hobby that make things.

 

I have not found one for a known company as of yet. mostly its our customs that make it unattractive for company's but you can get Go's and there are many people that make clothing's for dolls. I would have a look on Facebook too. there are many UK based doll sale pages there is UK BJD Trade and Sales https://www.facebook.com/groups/292101087556831/ this is one that I use this one a lot and there are a few "Shops" on there too as well as second hand items. you have to be in the UK on there so no surprises with customs. you need to show a feedback page to sell so there is a good set up to keep you safe.

Not a problem, and yes they were very nice. There are also eyes by brands in Japan that you can get from Yahoo! Japan Auctions with a bidding service. RONRONSHUKA is a popular brand.

3. Leekeworld is my first thought, too. Otherwise, I did find a nice brunette ponytail wig on Mandarake once. They have their own wig line, so it may be restocked, actually.

5. With that nun outfit? I'd get a body stocking to go under that. As far as pointy nipples go, getting on of those Volks striped underwear sets might help a bit. Otherwise, you could sand off the nipples.

 

6. Cool Cat has just about everything you'll need. http://us.sk-coolcat.com/front/bin/home.phtml Head caps (get a cloth and a silicone, the cloth one goes on top of the silicone one, which will help keep the headcap and wig in place.), a nice hair brush, body stockings, and the ever awesome neck joint upgrade! They also have a nice selection of clothing, and some good shoes.

 

7. Azone had some nice ones, but they seem to have ceased production of their 60 cm doll products. I can tell you that you should not get the pair from DD Mari. They will break. I have two pairs, both have cracks, one from just unfolding them.

they don't have any DDY or DDY standard on there but this is the pricing I get for a DD standard model

 

Price will be different but this will give you a basic amount to work with

 

Sub Total (with fee) 45,360 yen (Dolls Price)

Shipping Fee 3,250 yen

Handling Fee 1,696 yen

EMS insurance 100 yen

Total Amount 50,406 yen

Remember this doe NOT include customs. so you have to think about that too.

Customs will be a pain, but I'd rather have money added on and be able to claim back the full amount if she gets lost rather than saving money by requesting she be marked down and risking it.

Indeed I did the same for my Error. her customs was about $300 x.x but was good to know that the money would be safe.

I'm the opposite I always get my girls marked down but pay for super fast shipping with tracking so that they get a "premium" service and I dont have to spend ages worrying about them ^_^
