D8) I found a Miu Amaha head, priced very cheaply BUT….her original eyes are cracked severely and she has a custom face up that looks like a kid drew on her with crayon (okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration but it's just plain horrible). Other than that, I don't see much wrong with her. I want some other people's opinions on what else might be wrong from the pictures that they have shown other than the eyes and bad face-up and I also want to know if I could manage to save her by just replacing her eyes and getting a new face-up done. I really love Miu and was planning on making her a MDD. But anyway, here are the photos. --- I also noticed that she might have a scratch on the top back of her head from what I can see on my monitor but that doesn't bother me since it would be covered by a wig cap and a wig. Am I crazy for considering on trying to save her or can it be done? jadepixel Posted June 9, 2014 I worry that her mouth has been modified, maybe poorly. She also looks really dirty and possibly stained, like she wasn't well cared for. I haven't seen Miu in person so I can't say for sure about her mouth, but you may want to check Yahoo Japan auctions instead. Miu always had that iffy mouth I'd say just send her off to someone for a new faceup, I'm sure they could mimic her default style without much problems, or they could make an even better one. I've checked over numerous photos of her and her lips have resembled this doll's a lot, just without the crappy face up, of course. x3 And if she is dirty, I can simply clean her when I'm removing her face up, couldn't I? And if she is possibly stained, I've heard of many people talk of how to get them out especially with a normal skinned doll, which I checked, and she is. 🙂 And there are reasons why I do not use YJA. 1) I don't know how "proxys" work and unless someone comes to physically show me, I'm not going to deal with it and trust in someone like that 2) They are auctions and not set prices, so if someone bids higher than me and I cannot afford to bid higher, then I lose a nice doll. 3) I like the garauntee that I will get the doll that I want by buying it online instead of bidding online (unless of course the doll is out of stock but I can understand that) 4) My google translate won't work on most foreign pages anymore for some reason (I use an Apple Macbook Pro *shrugs*) and 5) In general, I'm just not comfortable with it. I have no idea how it could be salvaged without taking the rest of it off. x3 If I get her, I'm most likely going to have to start a clean slate with her face-up and eyes too. : P Thank you for the luck and input~! I really want to do the best for her and make a dramatic transformation (I know some stains can't get out but I think that she can still be worked with. :3 ) I don't really care for the purplish color that her eyebrows are, however (I don't know if it will eventually go with a wig that I'll pick out for her).
