Recently Lucas has been loosing patience with me, now that he has the right male bust, and yet he couldn't use it. If you are wondering, he's borrowing Dakota's DDdy body (and no it isn't a good alternative because the hips are WAY too curvy, and why I didn't take pics of that part. Looks totally creepy and unnatural.) Even so, I'm really happy to see Lucas acting like himself. Now I just need to get around to doing that durn hair! I'm not running a q-ball factory, I swear!

He would be a heart breaker if he wasn't such a softy.

DD chest hair... ewww. I have to say that I love this bust more than I thought I would. It just looks awesome. Poor Tama is in for it once Lucas gets finished. Lucas was more than a little pleased with himself that the shirt was one I was working on as a test for Tama's flannel PJs. I did the pattern wrong and even on Tama it won't close in the front (I did this before working on the current T-shirts, and why there was one less mistake in the shirts. HA!) Even so, Lucas was positively gloating about wearing Tama's shirt.

The headband(?) was just scrap fabric, but I'm so very pleased to know that it doesn't make him look stupid. I was a little afraid of that. For his hair to be all spiky and everything, I'm still wondering if the solution is to sew the wefts backwards compared to how it is normally done. I'm just not entirely sure if that's the best way to do it. I dunno since I've never made wigs before.

Still not happy with the hair fiber color, but I just realized that it is slightly darker than Daisy's so I can make a test wig for her out of it and order the right color for Lucas. Plus then I could have the freedom to make mistakes and not be stressed out just trying to learn.

Thank you! I have 2 of the male busts and the 45cm male from Parabox, and yesterday I ordered the male torso for the 47cm & up to see if it might work with DD bodies. I have A DDdy, DDII, DDIII, & DDS to test it out on. If I can get it to work I'd be SO happy. I have wanted male DD since I started collecting about 2 1/2 years ago. For about the first six months Tamayuki had a sanded MDD S bust because Parabox hadn't released the 45cm male when I first made him. Ever since then I've been trying to find a workaround to make DD boys that look like boys. I'm pretty proud of Lucas because he's the least shota of my 4 boys, not easy to do when there are only girl sculpts to work from.

I keep hoping that my body experiments can finally find workable DD boys, meaning that they don't look like freaks without a shirt on. I'm still going to have to blush the bust piece at some point to make it blend better, but that will have to wait until his final body is set. I know I could just go with the full Obitsu bodies, but the joints and the hand sculpts on DD are so much more visually appealing. Even my Ringo insists that she has to use MDD hands even though she wants to be on a 45cm body.

And if my experiments still fail, there is hope that Danny Choo might add a male into his Smart Doll line. That would be... AWESOME!
