Can the smart doll L-bust fit on a DDdy body, by any chance? You don't have to check, but I'm dying to know! I love the way it's sculpted.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that, I haven't tried or even thought about it. I might try it out just to see but it'll be next week when I do. But if I do it, I'll be sure to let you know!

I met Danny Choo today at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. His exhibit is a doll lovers' magnet. I met a few people from the forum just by hanging out at the "doll tower" as I call it. There were Mirai dollies on display.

No touching allowed but the internal "Mirai frame" skeletal structure looks highly versatile, poseable, and well designed. The finger joints move allowing easily a wide range of expressiveness not afforded by Dollfie Dream. The outer vinyl looks nicely sculpted too. Some who have her said the vinyl is softer and a pleasant texture. The overall body shape has quite a different and very modern feel.

I and TechnoHornist really want to see Chitose. And of course the male doll Eiji will be an amazing development. I thanked Danny for making a male doll and described how rareness, fragility, and a lack of replacement parts makes the Obitsu 65 cm male doll difficult to own. Danny confirmed he will be offering replacement parts which is great.

Outfits for Mirai are on the horizon. The iconic school uniform will be S-bust only but final design looks fabulous. The maid cafe outfit is adorable and looks great on larger busts. Optional part hands will be offered later too.

And finally, I thanked Danny Choo for the friends I met because of his site and commitment to raising awareness about Japanese culture. I wouldn't have met some of you if it were not for Danny Choo.

Nice! I bet that was fun to hang out there and meet people! Lucky!

I like the frame so far and haven't felt anything that seems fragile yet. I hope it proves durable over time. And by fingers do you mean the ones that come with just the frame setup? The regular Mirai hands are just like DD hands so you can't pose those. The vinyl seems similar to the DD overall but some parts are more rigid than others.

I'm interested in seeing any and all dolls Danny has coming but his next girl Kizuna is on my GF's radar already. Looks like she might be coming here once she's released. And that is so awesome that replacement parts will be available! Volks seriously needs to up its game to fill that void for its DD lines.

I'm super excited about that! Altho I like the school uniform a lot, I am solely focused on getting that maid outfit for my Mirai! It's a total must have for me! Ever since I saw his Saber in the one Chun made, I've been wanting it so I'll be first in line with money in hand for it when he releases them!

The hand thing is really cool too because he and I have been talking about that a bit. I told him my opinion on a few things and he's told me he will do a certain hand position that's not available from Volks for the DD's. It won't be easy to do but he accepted the "challenge" of it and said he'd work on it after AX. I'm beyond happy to hear about it too because if it works, it'll be an awesome addition to give our girls some cool posing options with their hands.

That's great. I'd love to do the same one day because if not for his site Figurefm, I'd never have adopted Manami and gone down the wonderful road that is DD collecting. I owe him a lot and he owes me for all the money I've spent on them! LOL

Thank you very much! That is so cool that you got to see the Tower of Mirai at AX! I'm kind of jealous of you getting to see all those outfits and stuff in person. I bet it was a real blast!

I wasn't sure what she would be getting classified as yet so I figured if this needed to be moved, yall would take care of it. Thanks for the move.

It's got to be a Volks made Dollfie Dream doll to be On Topic, as the rules state... otherwise it's not really fair to all the owners of other very similar looking anime dolls that we've deemed off topic.
