Danny Choo Smart Doll Boy [NSFW]

I'm fine with him being above 65cm (I in fact wanted him at least half - to whole head higher) . I have resin BJDs that are 70cm and I love the height. So I'll be happy either way.

I agree I'm definitely happier that he's tall. I was kind of disappointed that the OB65 is actually only just slightly taller than a DD, therefore being more like 60 cm.

To give an idea to current Mirai/Kizuna owners, Eiji is one spinal joint taller.

I don't know why, but I'm not liking his legs. Something about them. They look stretched and not a natural long. If that makes any sense. Maybe it's the angle of the picture and the color of the 3D printing.

Mirai has these odd, elongated look too, I guess it's just the style.

 

Would I b right in assuming that the molds will be ready by the stated date & not the finished version of Eiji? Still haven't seen his head sculpt.

Indeed I am wondering it its the body being together by March not the hole doll. still really need to see this head so I know fi I need the 07 mod or not xox

i dont really care about the height actually, as long the face sculpt was manly im in, i dont want my first male doll more beautiful than all my female doll, hha

can't wait to see the head! the anticipation is killing me >w< but i'm quite sure that this date is for the body. Probably won't get a head reveal until April / May X__X; though in Nov he did say that he has finished the head sculpt model...just never revealed it yet. Probably will have to wait until it's printed, or who knows? maybe hes trolling us and plans to have him all ready by March? : O either way, I really can't wait to see him TT_TT

Comes from my love for Super Gem and SD17 bodies. So, if he's closer to that mark it'll be much loved, plus super easy to find clothing for. (At least in the style I like to dress my boys.)

its not to bad that if hes ugly you wont get him.. me I am probably just gunna buy him for his body XD. head is a maybe for me so it might just get sold in the end if ti is not nice. the body is one then the other body is the ob 65cm my boys will have one of each so there different looking.

Same with me... I only want him for his body. I kinda keep hoping I don't like his head so I can use his body for one of my other 2 boys that need to get done. Yet on the other hand... megane!!!!!! (Excuse me a moment while I sit in the corner and giggle maniacally to myself.)

 

The only thing that's really irking me at the moment is not knowing for sure when Eiji will be for sale. I'm saving like crazy at the moment and should have the funds in a month and a half, but I don't want to stress out about it if he isn't available for another 6 months or so. I just hate feeling so uncertain.

Makes sense to me. If you don't need it no reason to have it. I may end up changing it up and customizing a 09 instead too because I've come love that head as a boy. Need more info to know if that'll be a thing though. I always liked that, havin' a variety of bodies allows you to seem like you really have different body types even if they are somewhat similar. Boy bodies don't get quite the same variety as girls. >:

Ah yeah, if you are clawing for the body then that would drive me nuts too. At least you'll be ready whenever it does come around? I'm pretty sure if he hasn't even revealed the head yet we probably have time...? Maybe?

That's what I'm assuming but I'm terrible at waiting. I'd be able to stand it better if there was some solid date to go by at least. He hasn't even mentioned anything about the faceup style, clothes, shoes, wig, or anything like that yet so I'd actually be really surprised if orders open up before summer. I could be wrong, but that's my thinking.

 

I've gotta have some sort of fix to keep me motivated until my pre-order girls are shipped in November.

 

The only real complaint (to myself) that I have is I'm starting to wonder what the problem of keeping Eiji as himself. 5 of my current 13 are hybrids and I get frustrated having to stop to think who can be posted where, and with whom so someone doesn't grouch at me. I'd love to post pics of my Obitsu hybrids on the Parabox forums, but since they have Volks parts, I can understand why they wouldn't want that confusing other people. And then there is Dolly, and EB Mini made by Volks who I regularly forget that he isn't a DD (he has a huge personality!) but understandably can only be posted in the off-topic dolls section unless he's always pared with a DD (usually Tama.) But then the same problem arises if Eiji's body is used with a DD head, I wouldn't really feel like I could post SmD Boy pics on Twitter (where Danny frequently retweets SmD pics) because the head sculpt is the defining thing.

 

Sorry for my little rant. I've been waiting 3 years of a full non-hybrid DD type boy and I'm feeling frustrated that I don't have a face to put with the body. Without the face, how am I supposed to know who he's supposed to be in our family? It's just a lot of stress that I don't even know if it's worth it. I'm trying not to expect anything, but after this long it's hard not too.

After waiting for a single head to come out since mid 2012 I have managed to become a lot more patient with doll releases, but it took this insanely long wait (that is still going on btw) for me to be okay with it. But I totally understand impatience too. I on occasion message the artist for updates.

That is quite exhausting, I can't imagine trying to manage something like that. ><;; I always avoided hybriding because I found when I did unless I wrote it down I had a chance of forgetting what body they were on. That can get very troublesome... So no more. I do hope that he ends up lookin' just right for someone so you can happily keep a boy all in one piece. >: I like Eiji's design on paper, so I'm just hoping he translates well into a face mold.

 

Plus, I want that bull costume.

Ya this is me all the way. Well I do want him taller, but my biggest issue is that I don't want him to be girly looking.

Oh my goodness I never thought I'd see the say when they made a Male doll in an anime style. ;_; I'm so looking forward to seeing how this boy turns out!

I really hope the head sculpt is super manly and Bishie. Kinda like Soom's Hyperon and Gulino and stuff. I think the height is lovely, my girls wish he was a lil taller but they love the macho body, they each are bothering me for a boy toy (@_@)

Jumping on the bandwagon and waiting for more info on this boy... not sure if I like the head sculpt but hey that can be changed right?

I am looking forward to seeing the released photo of Smart Doll Boy.

Anyway I sure hope that Danny Choo can get the anime license from Death Note, it would be so cool if he could release Yagami Light from Death Note! As seen from his latest Desk Diary 20150228 post.

Hey just reading comments. Curious, what's considered too feminine for your liking?

 

In this case anything that looks like a DD head imo. I actually like femboys too, I've had quite a few, but I'm lookin' for a "man's man" in a sense. So anything that looks like it really is male is what I desire. Not yet another DD head converted into a guy. That can work, but you gotta do it right otherwise I feel it is still too unisex. That's far from what I want with this guy.

I could have said the same thing as Gunter. Sure I like the shotas and the bishi boys, but I'd like some DD guys that look like they are in their 20s. Tiger & Bunny are a perfect example of anime guys that look like men. They have strong jaws, realistic noses, and facial features that are more 'hard lines' rather than round baby type faces. The closest I've managed so far is Lucas, and that's not very close at all.

 

To be honest, there are a lot of BJD guy heads I'd love to have in vinyl.

I agree... *looks to side..* yeah Dollshe saint head but vinyl with a "anime" looking nose that would be awesome XD. ANYWAY! lol for male from the default DD heads its 07 and 09 mostly then with face-ups it pushes it to other heads but personally I would not look at any other DD heads for a male at the moment. long as the Smdoll guy dose not have a pointed chin or to big eyes I think he will be ok.
