A cool thing would be if he could offer a smiling version and a more serious version like the one right now. As it is only the mouth which would need to be a bit diffrent he would not have to change much to make him smile. He will probably even sell more with 2 diffrent versions

 

(And it would be super cool if he also offered Eiji with 2 heads and a body so he can change his mood XD)

 

So far I prefer the new head sculpt

Danny remarked that he thinks the makeup is a bit too girly and asked users what anime characters he could use for inspiration. The amount of people requesting Sebastian makes me nervous though because I would really rather he didn't look so smug/smirky (i actually cant stand sebastian's face..)...I want him to look gentle and friendly.

 

What does everyone think of this update though? It's hard for me to tell but the sculpt of his head seems to be different to the grumpy one?? Or is it just the angle?

The same... Danny mentions it is the second sculpt just smiling. He seems to be trying out a few things with the face up. And you can actually imagine all pics of Eiji coming now will be the second head. A lot of work to create a head sculpt >___<

I realize now it's the angle or maybe the shadows in the smiling pic - somehow it just makes the shape seem different. I wonder if this is the final sculpt then?

...I also wonder how many different Eiji heads with varying faceups theres going to be all over the CJ office by the end of the year...

Eh i really like sebastian face, manly and a lil bit cold, at first I really like the V2 face, but now I kinda think the face looks a lil bit weird, I hope its just because of the face up, and his jaw looks kinda off, and I hope its just the angle. Looking forward to see the other or final eiji face up.

 

What do ya guys think?

Could you just make the jaw a little sharper? The cheek---> chin transition is too stiff.

Maybe it's just this picture, but I think I looks fine really. His faceup is pretty simple, I personally don't see it as too girly. I'm sure there are lots of variations people are going to want to see though

 

I don't plan on buying myself a boy anytime soon, but I can't wait to see him in different wigs and whatnot.

He looks soooo much better. His head shape is the best improvement. The mouth is great for me, but the "eyelashes" are a little girly. I think what makes it so girly is the amount of black on top of the eye.

when I did my boy face-up I did not put any lower lid lines and thick eyebrows. i i guess no lower lif might help it.

Just enjoying the body images of this guy. i cant wait to get one but i really don't now when that will be XD

someone needs to buy me one and send it as a surprise XD but Christmas and my birthday have been taken this year with my Gaara mod =/ then i'm still saving for the new body for him lol. and that's at £0.00 since nothing of mine is selling lol

 

Thank you to all those who complained/gave advice to Danny!!! He's MUCH better than the first head sculpt. His head shape is great and I'm love'n Eiji "grumpy".

 

I don't know what wig that is he's wearing in the swimsuit picture, but I really like it.

I wonder what he'll look like with long Bishonen hair xD or with facial hair drawn on or something

A lot of people are actually complaining a lot about the wig, and Danny even said 'can't wait to change it ugh'. There were even people saying that he should just show the Eiji progress without the wig because the wig was that bad but....I don't think it's that bad, what are they all talking about? I mean it's obviously not as good as the final should definitely be, but I don't get why so many people were acting like it was absolutely hideous. -shrug-

Anyway, I do hope the wig has those flyaway bits on the side that Eiji has (not sure what you'd call them, I like to call them 'hair wings'), I think those are super cute.

That was me ^^" And I didn't mean "that bad", but disruptive - it covers eyes and eyebrows and I can't fully focus on the face. Additionally, I'm planning to use Eiji to make a character who's not wearing bangs, so I wanted to see how he would look.

Oh I see, that makes sense - I was just confused for a bit, although it seems a lot of people hated the wig itself, including Danny. I'm also interested in seeing his eyebrows.

Also @spookyboo - maybe one of us should ask Danny to take a pic of him with one of the girl's wigs on

people were really focusing on the wig even though he made it clear he didn't like it. I think sometimes people don't read anything.

Yes the wig has to go, but people hone in on something like this, which can also easily be changed.

 

I do think he should show more pictures without, I get that it's to pull him together, but I would be customizing him, so I don't care what his default will be personally.

But it would help get a better feel for the sculpt.

 

I feel like maybe Miko's wig would work Ok not really, but it does have a flippy wing style...

I still think the faceup of the grumpy Eiji but with the smiley mouth would be ideal (the eyelids on the smiley mouth one are too thick, but they are just right on the grumpy one)

I also noticed that he's now wearing shoes on the one thats on display in the culture japan store.

I wonder if that means his outfit is approaching completion, although I kind of hope that isn't the outfit he comes with - it's not bad, but I'd just prefer him in a t-shirt. (or maybe he's just wearing the girls shoes there, its hard to tell - I just assumed his feet would be bigger than theirs and I always hear about what a tight fit the girls shoes are even on the girls)

(Then again, Ebony was wearing Kizuna's shirt right up until it was nearly her release time)

Danny placed this pic today. With both of them side to side you can see how much "he" looks like the other girls :/

Are you mad he doesn't have a peen? No other vinyl boy does since they have to be violently pulled from the molds and it would probably end up bubbled or misshapen. Personally it doesn't bother me at all, and it's not like most resins are highly detailed either, they mostly look like tic-tacs. As long as there's something there to fill out the underwear I don't mind, I don't do nude shots except for comparisons anyway.

On another note, I don't know why there's this fear that he might look "girly"....he looks like an anime boy so far, I don't want a physical culturist or something like that so I'm happy with his looks so far.

 

I don't really care for the face up, I always erase the face ups on my dolls anyway because I like to give them one on my own so if I get him I would wipe that face up, get rid of that wig, eyes, clothes...he would be a very different Eiji...sorry, even that name would be gone. I just want an official vinyl boy without having to customize the bodies or necks. CAN'T WAIT!

I don't see anything wrong with his waist either. I love him with the grumpy face, and I don't even mind his eyes and wig. I'd probably change them, and his name, because I prefer customization but I'd definitely buy this guy if I could come up with the money.

I dont know why so many people are complaining about his waist.....he looks like the cutesty anime boys from "free" which is what pretty much erryone asked for xD

 

Everyone has their point of view so we can't juge others on what they think. It's only a option for danny.

 

Besides for almost $600 it's something to carefully think about
