I don't think it was the thinness of the waist more how defined some of the muscles were.

 

Aren't grumpy and smiley the same sculpt just a different face up?

 

Regardless I'm happy that people voiced their opinions and that Danny listened. I'm getting more excited about him, he's looking much better! The other head was just NO.

I would like to see some more shots of the head without a wig, and even without a face up.

Yeah, it's the same head mold, just different face ups.

 

I think a lot of people would like to see the head without a face up and with a face up with and without a wig on.

Some more news:

1. Planned release date of Christmas Eve...! I'm glad he'll still be out this year (hopefully) and also glad because he'll probably definitely be in stock when I visit the store in February...

2. Pics of the tanned male body on twitter!

3. I asked Danny about whether Eiji will have glasses - he said that he did plan to include them originally, but making the glasses would delay his release by several months. I assume that eventually he will make glasses as an accessory for the online store - a little sad, but understandable and perhaps a little smarter in the end, as I'm sure lots of people would appreciate being able to buy the glasses for the girls, and I was worried about included glasses making him cost more.

Has there been any images of him side on yet? its still on edge if I am gunna keep the head or stay with my 07. Also the tan looks nice to I think ^o^ bit dark for my OC so don't think I will be going for that one.

 

 

and most of all.... so soo sad the glasses wont be included.. hope it will lower his price a bit since I was going to give the glasses to my Eliza.. oh well..

He's looking really good now! :D Too bad he won't come with glasses, it seems he's marketed less as Eiji Seiun and more as "a customizable male anime doll". Which is convenient for people, since I think most of us aren't invested in Eiji as a character, but it's also a little sad since Mirai and Kizuna get proper treatment as their characters.

Actually he still call the doll as eiji, so he still sticking to the idea to make this male doll as eiji, I just hope he release eiji on his original art outfit, im not liking the sweater at all, the jeans was great tho.

There was a tweet that said something like how customers were bringing in outfits to put on Eiji, and I think my heart almost stopped seeing this;;

Making him into Kaito is the reason I want him, after all 8') I wonder who bought this in, and if they plan to sell it? (or if it was something they're already selling for another type of doll) And whether they'd also make a blue wig...

Its nice to see that tehy are happy to allow the doll to be clothed by customers over all its nice to see things work for the newer body too. ( I know its only a small change but its still something.)

All the images I have seen I think I will be more on the side of using the 07 I have for my oc. the head looks nice but I don't think I will get it to fit him well enough. now is just the struggle to get money for him XD

Ohh you don't remember Gundam Seed Destiny? or maybe I was a huge fan back then because I saw all the series with a hardcore passion so, as soon as I saw that image I knew it was from GSD hehe

No i never watched it lol ^^: i was a sailor moon girl then did not want any anime until Naruto and that was because they sowed it on the tv. we never had internet strong enough to load shows like that XD its what i get for living in the middle of no where lol.

Ooh no wonder! GSD is like 11 years old but I don't know if it was ever shown on tv. I know that Gudam seed was shown on tv though.

 

I was a fan of Sailor Moon when I was a kid, I was lucky that in my country we had a lot of anime airing on tv, that's how I grew up with Saint Seiya, Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, Dragon ball, Sailor moon, Card Captor Sakura, Evangelion and my first Gundam series: Gundam Wing.

 

I was watching anime before I knew it was anime lol I recommend the Gundam series if you like Mecha anime. I don't watch anime nowadays but I will always remember Gundam seed destiny because.... of nostalgia haha

I should watch more Anime but i don't XD. I am only a part timer really in the anime world. I see all the new things on tumblr but never watch it XD. with my dyslexia unless its dubed I don't watch. (I could pause and read but it runes the feel of the show for me)

 

When they made Enji I did look at art of all the guys requested for the body type so I am happy how he is finished now. I do hope the "buff" looks nice if they are still working on it. for my oc that I hope will use the body I may need the buff if the main body is not enough.

I had a feeling it was one of the Gundams, I just never got into any of those so don't recognize the outfit, heh. (That and it only aired on pay TV back when it was on TV here, and it probably would have taken more than a day to download one episode on early 00s Australian internet)

On a related note, does anyone know how many developer versions of Eiji were sent out? I noticed the first batch sold out, but the only ones I've seen around are Sister Kyoya's and another person on tumblr recently (not sure if they have an account here). I'm just so curious about what other people have done to him faceup wise, even if it is the old head sculpt. And I really can't wait to see all the clothes!

Same i would like to see. and i have only seen sisters boy too. i have not seen any but i expect some shops bought him for a size ref so probably wont see them. also the drawing thing Danny post about before they might of bought a few maybe that would count for the number that went quickly.

I'm not sure whether it's enough to be called "faceup", but it's something at least ^^" In my opinion Eiji looks like a 12-year-old boy here ^^

I really liked him without the smile, but that can be always changing by a different faceup.

I was fortunate enough to visit with puppy52 and check out her "developer" version of Eiji (so things will likely change a little bit in the finished version) and the only real feedback that I have is that his profile is REALLY weird and unattractive. It's very squashed and awkward looking.

 

Other than that, the body is smexy
