baldylox Posted June 30, 2014 This weekend I went up to Charlotte for a small meetup at a friends house who's hubby was having a B-day. It was pretty informal and we just kind of brought along a few girls to say hello and such. We had some great food, some fun watching and playing video games and talking about doll stuffs. Here's my Mirai with AsianEd's Chii. I really love her look and style! DSC_2142 by balldylox, on Flickr Seeing as how you can put magnets in Mirai's hands, Ed decided to give it a try with a Puki for a weight. And yes, I upgraded her bust to the L size. Pew pew! Pointy! Sadly, half of the girls there were in various states of disrobe and/or upgrading of wigs or eyes. So don't freak out if you see naked DD's with no eyes in a few shots... like this one. DSC_2160 by balldylox, on Flickr Manami keeping it real. DSC_2161 by balldylox, on Flickr Manami meets HER older sister Chii! I say that because Chii was the model/prototype for the DD 01 head. You can easily see that here. DSC_2162 by balldylox, on Flickr A close up shows the eyes are nearly identical in shape and size. Overall the proportions are larger on Chii tho. And the mouth and nose have been moved up a bit on the 01 head compared to Chii. But these heads are so similar, it's great to see the progression of how they moved from the resin over to the vinyl head. She's so pretty and fun to take pics of... I just swapped her into some other clothes recently and she looks great in those too.
