Luke Triton

For years I've been into the Professor Layton games, but sadly the figures of them are few and I want more, and bigger. It wasn't until last year that I realized that maybe I could try to create dolls of some of my favorite characters instead?

I know Layton would be IMPOSSIBLE to make considering what I have to work with, so I am trying to focus on some other favs instead. My first project will be making a Luke dollfie, if it goes well and I feel like I have the time and money to spend on one more I really want to make one of Future Luke too.

 

Luke is not 100% finished, but I am getting there. Of course there will always be time for improvement, and I still have to fix his original outfit. But in the meantime I will still love and care for him. ♥

And faceup is finally done. ♥ It's really hard to transmit Luke's style into a more anime look, but I think Niya nailed the image I had in mind!

Since I am going to Sweden during my Summerbreak I'm going to pick up Luke's head and send it to faceup~

Also ordered him some nice basic clothes from Alicecollection. Even if I plan on making him his usual attire I still want him to have some other outfits to chose from.

Mailed Niya Mia about the faceup. I was so thrilled to see that she loved these games as well and it made me so happy to hear her being excited about making a faceup for Luke. ; n ; Head will be shipped to her soon, so excited to see how he will turn out. ♥

 

Update 28/6

After several months I've finally been able to both decide and order a body. At the beginning I considered getting the 45cm male body from Obitsu, but after some consideration that body felt to bony. I much prefer the legs of their 40cm female body, plus I was a bit worried he might look to tall with those extra 5cm.

Illya head won on y!A, was lucky enough to snag it for under 35k. Sadly my shopping service (or maybe I lol) messed up the shipment so Illya's head was sent to my Swedish address on accident.

Since Luke's design is REALLY simple facewise I will take some inspiration from my favorite fanart and doujinartists styles for the faceup.

I'm also taking inspiration from this artist, who sadly don't seem to have her pixiv still up. I've been trying my hardest to find if she keeps a blog or something with skectesh but failed. ;_;

 

 

Head

Prism Illya. Her mouth and nose have a really great shape and with the right custom faceup I think she can turn into a lovely shota. Faceup will be done by Niya Mia.

 

Eyes

For now a pair of basic eyes from Volks, will later commission a better pair.

I love the Professor Layton games - never crossed my mind to make a DD of them though so I'm excited with your Luke project. I think he is adorable. I love this sketch of the artist as it makes Luke look even more adorable. Good luck with your project!

Awee! ♥ it always makes me happy to see other enjoy the games since they are so very dear to me. It didn't really cross my mind either untill I joked about it with a couple of friends. xD It seems I often joke about making some PL related stuff and then end up actually doing them after all lol.

Yes the style is very lovely. ♥ It's a shame she took down her gallery since a lot of her artworks are so adorable! Some of them are up on tumblr though, sourced to her deleted pixiv. ; ^ ;
