It would make no sense if he'd be selling "tea" and "cocoa" bodies without heads considering there is nothing to match these colors on the market

I think the blank heads are the ones without the eyeholes cut out. Still, very tempting!

I did think about that but i never saw any info on a head before this =< if i did i would of been more existed XD

i just went on the main shop and the body's with heads are 40K not 42K?

 

UPDATE!

Danny said they recalculated the price and can afford to do it as 40K yen for the head and body =D

Some one buy my obitsu body right now since i can then get my boy!!!!! XD

Is there not an option to buy a body+head in Ebony's skin tone, or did I miss something? It's disappointing if you can't buy it...

No i have a look but it seems its only there normal skin are up atm. i tried adding to basket but no option came up for skin colour.

 

i guess it will be out later i am sure i remember him saying its the normal then tan and coco will be out later on.

I saw that, but I was hoping he mentioned something about selling just the blank heads (with open eyeholes? ) The Smart Doll Body looks good, but I prefer the soft feeling of the DD Bodys (Sorry if that sounds weird but the smart doll body reminds me off a barbie doll x__x" not my cup of tea xD"")

Correct me if I'm wrong, but afaik SmartDoll has the same body type as DD (soft vinyl on hard skeleton) so the "soft factor" should be very similar

The "soft factor" is quite different. DD bodies are squishy, while SmD bodies are almost a hard plastic, except for a bust part, which is even softer than a DD bust. haven't you taken the opportunity to touch Mirai few weeks ago?

Really?? I think I was told or have read that they are about the same in the staining department. I just assumed that Danny was a daredevil in terms of the clothes he put them in/makes for them and such..!

Oh I didn't know this! I've been trying to decided between a smart doll and a DD for my first BJD. The soft body sounds nice, but I really like the body sculpt more on the smart dolls.

Well, it's not completely resistant. I've had one staining incident on the hard plastic before but regardless, the Smart Doll is my go-to body for black outfits.

Okay, I'm getting a bit confused about the skin colours - What is the difference between Ebony Futaba, Mirai Kasshoku and the Tea body? They all look like the same colour to me.

Ebony is the characters name but she uses the "Tea" body same with the other.

 

its like the slandered DD molds have names but the body is called Normal skin and the heads are 01-09 =)

Mirai Kasshoku (I dont know why he's using the japanese word for tan because it's confusing people even more, he really should just be calling them 'chitose tea' 'mirai tea' etc) is also just Mirai with tan skin, as opposed to Ebony, who was always a separate character. Ebony and Mirai have different faceups - a lot of people dont seem to know this and assume Ebony was the tan version of Mirai. They don't really look that alike to me. Ebony has more perky eyes while Mirai's are more round/droopy. Ebony also has pinker lips, like she has some light lipstick on.
