la_ Posted July 5, 2014 I'm new to DD, but have admired them for a long time. I had a love/hate relationship with resin BJDs (they're pretty, but are a bit too deep in the uncanny valley for me) but I've always thought DDs are gorgeous. I don't have one yet, but I'm waiting for Miku. I enjoy sewing and love Miku, so I'd planned on building a Miku DD (and making her all the outfits I love) after graduating and getting a full-time job...coincidentally enough, Volks announced her right on time. I saw a few of her prototypes when I went to Japan last December, and they just made me even more impatient! She's absolutely adorable. I've already bought a bunch of stuff in anticipation of her arrival. --; I'm also interested in getting a DDDy with a more mature face, so I can sew a wider variety of styles. I'll wait to see what gets announced at the end of July. I'm thinking an Alna or a DDH-05 or DDH-07 would be good for what I have in mind. Interesting that you mention your feelings about bringing another DD (DDdy?) in before your Miku arrives - I was charmed into this hobby by Aoi wearing the wine red party dress. The dress was the first DD item I bought & fully expected Aoi to fill it, but... I still need to get Aoi & I think she's going to be pissed at me for making her wait so long!
